Built to be used by everyone.

GEKKO Agency wants this website to work for everyone, whatever device, browser or assistive technology you use. It is built to WCAG 2.2 level AA. This page says what that means here, what is not finished yet, and where to report a problem.

What we did

  • Contrast: text on the black background measures at least 6.7:1 (the cream text 15.2:1, the grey secondary text 6.7:1), and text on the photo and film blocks at least 11.3:1; the neon green is used only on buttons, with black text at 14.6:1 or more, never as text colour.
  • Keyboard: everything works without a mouse, with a visible focus line on every link, button, form choice and question: cream on the black background and on the dark photo and film blocks.
  • Forms: choices are real radio buttons and checkboxes styled as buttons, so they work with screen readers, keyboards and without JavaScript. Every field has a visible label, and an error is shown in words next to the question it concerns.
  • Structure: one heading level one per page, headings in order, landmarks for header, navigation, main content and footer, a skip link to the content.
  • Motion: six things move without your action. The small cross beside the logo at the top of every page turns a quarter four times when a page opens, for four seconds, and again while the pointer rests on the logo. On the homepage the film plays a muted loop once it is in view, with a pause button on it; it never plays with sound on its own. On a phone held upright and on screens of at least 768 by 540 pixels (not on a phone held sideways), the photo at the top of many pages plays a muted loop once the page has loaded and the photo is in view, with a pause button on it; once you pause one, the others stay paused in that browser tab. On a case page that has one, and in the IL CAPO block on the home page, the product photo plays a muted loop in the same way, with its own pause button. On a case page with films under "In motion", each film plays muted once the page has loaded and only while it is in view, over a still from that film, with a pause button on each. Sections below the first screen fade in and rise slightly, once, as you scroll to them. Hover and open states move briefly, after your action. On a computer, the photo of a work tile whose case has a moving image plays that muted loop while the pointer rests on it, and stops when the pointer leaves; on touch screens the tiles stay still. Every loop, fade and transition is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion, and no loop plays when your browser reports data saver or a 2G connection.
  • Video: the company film has English captions in the player and its full transcript in HTML on the page where it plays, with the title cards named.
  • Touch: buttons, form choices and menu items are at least 44 pixels high; the links in the footer and every link on a line of its own at least 24.
  • Text: pages read at 200 percent zoom and on a 320 pixel wide screen without horizontal scrolling. The language of every page is marked, and so is the language of every link from a Dutch page to an English one and back.

Not finished yet

  • Some of the muted loops that play on their own contain fast cuts that can flash more than three times in one second (WCAG 2.3.1): several of the film loops on the homepage and one of the headers on the design page. Every loop has a pause button, a paused loop stays paused in that browser tab, and no loop plays when your system asks for reduced motion.
  • The film's voice-over is English; a Dutch caption track does not exist yet.
  • The film has no audio description yet. The transcript names the title cards, but does not yet describe what is shown on screen.
  • Where client product photography will follow, some pages show photos from GEKKO Agency's own 2026 shoot for now. Their alt text describes what is actually in frame.
  • This statement is in English only; a Dutch version does not exist yet.
  • An independent audit has not been done yet; the statement is based on our own testing with keyboard, screen reader and contrast calculations.
