We take your collection from tech pack or concept to production and delivery, with fixed production partners, with development, sampling and quality control by GEKKO. Is GEKKO Agency a private label clothing manufacturer?
Yes, for brands and retailers with a sales channel, existing or launching with a budget.
We are not a factory and we do not pretend to be one. We work with fixed production partners; development, sampling and quality control are ours, in Rotterdam. That is what you get from GEKKO that you do not get from a factory or an agent: one team that develops the garment, approves the sample with you, controls the production and can also store, sell and ship it if you want us to. Certifications such as GOTS and OEKO-TEX, and SMETA audits, are available per production and issued to the production house.

Do you name the brands you produce for?
We do not name our private label clients. The brand is theirs; the development and production are ours.
You will not find a list of private label brands here, and that is deliberate: a brand that produces with us decides for itself what it says about where its collection is made.
What else do brands ask?
Why 250 pieces per style per colour?
Because GEKKO Agency produces your fabrics and colours to order instead of picking from stock. Below 250 a custom fabric or a custom colour is not viable.
Two routes remain for smaller numbers, both agreed per project: locally printed or embroidered blanks with a neck print or an embroidered neck label, or occasionally leftover fabric from an earlier production. Team or company clothing goes through our business team.
How long does it take?
Indicatively about two weeks of sampling, four to eight weeks of production and two weeks of transport, depending on the project and the materials. The timeline in your proposal is indicative too, and we tell you as soon as it changes.
What do samples cost and how many rounds are there?
Two sample rounds are usual. One total quote for the whole project before we start; samples are part of it. No sample prices on this page, because they depend on the garment.
How does pricing work without a price list?
Every collection is developed for you, so there is no price list. Cost, payment terms and samples are agreed per project, in one total quote before we start.
Who owns the patterns and designs?
Patterns and designs GEKKO develops remain GEKKO's property; a buy-out is possible. Designs you supply stay yours.
Which certifications can you provide?
Certifications such as GOTS and OEKO-TEX, and SMETA audits, are available per production and issued to the production house. We tell you which apply and show the scope.
How is quality checked?
Full quality checks at the production partner and again in Rotterdam before anything ships. The approved pre-production sample is the standard every piece is checked against. Development and quality control in detail.
Can you also store, sell and ship our collection?
Yes. That is the rest of our chain: the store, our own warehouse in Rotterdam, shipping to 36+ countries and customer service in your name. You can use production alone, or the whole chain. Warehouse and fulfilment.
